The fire is 100% contained. Over the next few days firefighters will continue to further secure the containment line, mop-up hot spots within the fire area and rehabilitate areas that were impacted by suppression activities. The general public, rafters, and jet-boaters should be advised of that there is ongoing fire suppression activities in the vicinity of the Salmon River and main Salmon River road. There is increased traffic due to fire suppression activities and hauling of supplies along the main Salmon River road from where it leaves the highway through to Howard Ranch. Stage 1 fire restrictions remain in effect.
